CLOCK MUSEUM

Bairnsdale Clocks not only sell and repair clocks, they are home to a museum of some 600 clocks in what may be the largest operational clock museum in Australia.

The range of clocks on display is certainly diverse.

They include mystery clocks, a wide variety of American clocks, London railways clocks, a cast-iron dog with a wagging tail, Black Forest clocks, a butler clock and a  vineyard clock.

Amongst the collection is even a clock that warns "under no circumstances rely on this clock to tell the right time".

There is a story behind each clock and David or Libby, who act as guides, enjoy explaining details about the history, manufacture and previous ownership of their many clocks.

Whether avid collector or casual visitor, a visit to the museum will be a rewarding experience..

Bairnsdale is located 285k (approx 180 miles) east of Melbourne - in the Riviera region of Victoria, Australia.  It is certainly worth the trip to see our region and visit our museum and clock and antique shop.
